By using htxbackyard.com or submitting a request, you agree to these terms.
1. What HTX Backyard is
HTX Backyard is a free matching service. With your consent, we share each request with one participating, independent builder who serves your area. We don’t share a request with more than one builder. We are not a contractor. We don’t perform, manage, supervise, inspect or guarantee any work. Participating builders pay HTX Backyard a fee for introductions.
2. No guarantees about builders
We don’t guarantee any builder’s prices, quality, timeliness, licensing, insurance, permits or conduct. We also don’t guarantee that we’ll find a matching builder for your request, or that a builder will contact you or give you a quote. You’re responsible for evaluating and choosing a builder, including checking references, insurance, required licenses, permits and contract terms. Any agreement you make is between you and the builder.
3. Information on this site
Our guides and cost figures are general information from the cited sources. They may be out of date or may not apply to your property. They aren’t legal, engineering or financial advice. Confirm requirements with your city, county, HOA and builder.
4. Your submissions
You agree to give accurate information and to submit requests only for property you own or are authorized to represent. If you check the consent box, you authorize contact as described there and in our Privacy Policy. You can withdraw consent at any time.
5. Acceptable use
Don’t submit false information or someone else’s information, scrape the site, or interfere with how it works.
6. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, HTX Backyard isn’t liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or from any builder’s products, services, acts or omissions. The site is provided “as is.”
7. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
8. Changes
If we update these terms, we’ll change the effective date above.
